We must obey God rather than men!

Scripture tells us to be subject to governing authorities:

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. (Romans 13:1 ESV)

However, there may come a time-maybe sooner than later-when "we must obey God rather than men":

And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.” But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men."

(Acts 5:27-29 ESV)

A Kingdom that cannot be shaken!

Yes, our nation seems to be on "shaky ground" over the last several years, and seems to be getting worse day by day.

BUT...

As Christians, we are part of now (and in eternity) a Kingdom that cannot be shaken!

"Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire." (Hebrews 12:28-29 ESV)

Good News!

Amidst all the "BAD NEWS" posts and feeds all over Facebook, I felt I had to share some "GOOD NEWS" I read in John MacArthur's introduction to The Book of Revelation this morning!
